How to watch Rockets vs. Lakers: TV channel, NBA live stream info, start time

Through 3 Quarters

Both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets have kept the scorekeepers busy with 195 between them three quarters in. a win is still up for grabs for either team, but Los Angeles is up 98-97

The Lakers have been led by point guard Russell Westbrook, who so far has 24 points and five assists along with seven boards. The top scorers for Houston have been center Alperen Sengun (16 points) and shooting guard Josh Christopher (14 points).

Houston hasn’t lost 93% of the games in which they were down heading into the final period this year, so a victory here would be refreshing.

Who’s Playing

Los Angeles @ Houston

Current Records: Los Angeles 28-36; Houston 16-49

What to Know

The Houston Rockets haven’t won a game against the Los Angeles Lakers since Sept. 4 of 2020, but they’ll be looking to end the drought on Wednesday. They will face off against one another at 8 p.m. ET at Toyota Center. If the contest is anything like Los Angeles’ 132-123 victory from their previous meeting in December of last year, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.

The matchup between the Rockets and the Miami Heat on Monday was not a total blowout, but with Houston falling 123-106 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. Point guard Kevin Porter (22 points) and shooting guard Jalen Green (20 points) were the top scorers for Houston.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles came up short against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, falling 117-110. The top scorers for Los Angeles were small forward Talen Horton-Tucker (18 points), point guard Russell Westbrook (17 points), power forward Carmelo Anthony (17 points), and shooting guard Malik Monk (17 points).

With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. Allowing an average of 117.94 points per game, the Rockets haven’t exactly asserted themselves on the defensive end. We’ll see if they can patch up the holes in their defense before their upcoming contest.
