Watch Hornets vs. Mavericks: How to live stream, TV channel, start time for Saturday’s NBA game

Through 3 Quarters

A victory for the Charlotte Hornets would push them over .500, and after three quarters they have put themselves in a good position to make this happen. Three quarters in and their offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating the Dallas Mavericks 105-83.

Power forward Miles Bridges (23 points) and power forward P.J. Washington (21 points) have been the top scorers for Charlotte. One thing to keep an eye out for is Mason Plumlee’s foul situation as he currently sits at four.

Point guard Luka Doncic has done his best for Dallas, currently boasting 37 points (45% of their total) in addition to four rebounds.

Halftime deficits have spelled doom for the Mavericks, who haves lost 75% of the games in which they were down going into the the fourth quarter.

Dallas @ Charlotte

Current Records: Dallas 43-27; Charlotte 35-35

What to Know

The Charlotte Hornets will take on the Dallas Mavericks at 7 p.m. ET Saturday at Spectrum Center after having had a few days off. Charlotte will be strutting in after a victory while Dallas will be stumbling in from a loss.

The Hornets were able to grind out a solid win over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday, winning 116-106. Charlotte’s success was spearheaded by the efforts of point guard LaMelo Ball, who shot 5-for-10 from beyond the arc and almost finished with a triple-double on 22 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds, and center Montrezl Harrell, who had 20 points along with six boards. Harrell had some trouble finding his footing against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday, so this was a step in the right direction.

Meanwhile, Dallas came up short against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday, falling 111-101. Dallas’ defeat came about despite a quality game from point guard Jalen Brunson, who had 24 points.

Barring any buzzer beaters, Charlotte is expected to win a tight contest. They are currently three-for-three against the spread in their most recent games, a trend bettors might want to take into account.

The Hornets are now 35-35 while the Mavericks sit at 43-27. A couple stats to keep an eye on: Charlotte ranks second in the league when it comes to points per game, with 114.9 on average. But Dallas comes into the matchup boasting the second fewest points allowed per game in the league at 103.8. These opposing strengths should make for an exciting matchup.
