Through 3 Quarters

The point spread is against the New York Knicks, but thus far the points are on their side. Sitting on a score of 84-75, they have looked like the better team out there today, but there’s still one more quarter to play.

New York has enjoyed the tag-team combination of point guard Alec Burks and center Mitchell Robinson. The former has 24 points, while the latter has posted a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds in addition to two blocks. Shooting guard Zach LaVine has led the way so far for the Chicago Bulls, as he has 22 points.

Chicago has lost 76% of the time when they were down heading into the fourth quarter this year, so this one seems just about wrapped up

Who’s Playing

Chicago @ New York

Current Records: Chicago 43-31; New York 33-42

What to Know

The New York Knicks will be returning home after a three-game road trip. They will take on the Chicago Bulls at 7:30 p.m. ET Monday at Madison Square Garden. These two teams are tiptoeing into their game after sneaking past their previous opponents.

It was a close one, but on Sunday New York sidestepped the Detroit Pistons for a 104-102 victory. The Knicks can attribute much of their success to point guard Alec Burks, who had 18 points along with five rebounds.

Speaking of close games: Chicago narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Cleveland Cavaliers 98-94. The Bulls relied on the efforts of shooting guard Zach LaVine, who had 25 points, and shooting guard Alex Caruso, who had ten points and seven assists in addition to eight boards.

New York is expected to win this handily, but they should have beaten the Oklahoma City Thunder Feb. 14 easily too and instead slipped up with a 127-123. In other words, don’t count Chicago out just yet.
