What to Know

The Indiana Hoosiers have enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they must head out on the road. IU and the Maryland Terrapins will face off in a Big Ten battle at 2:30 p.m. ET Saturday at Xfinity Center. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous games.

The Hoosiers had enough points to win and then some against the Penn State Nittany Lions on Wednesday, taking their matchup 74-57. IU’s forward Trayce Jackson-Davis did his thing and had 15 points in addition to six rebounds and four blocks.

Meanwhile, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights typically have all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Maryland proved too difficult a challenge. Maryland took their contest against RU 68-60. Guard Eric Ayala and guard Fatts Russell were among the main playmakers for the Terrapins as the former shot 5-for-9 from beyond the arc and finished with 22 points and eight boards and the latter shot 5-for-8 from downtown and finished with 23 points.

Barring any buzzer beaters, the Hoosiers are expected to win a tight contest. The smart bettors have been the ones to keep their money on Indiana’s opponents whenever they hit the road.

IU beat Maryland 63-55 when the two teams previously met in January of last year. The rematch might be a little tougher for IU since the team won’t have home-court advantage. We’ll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
